Taylormade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood Overview
“The Taylormade Stealth 2 is available in 15, 16.5 18, 21 and 24 degree loft versions.”
The Taylormade Stealth 2 woods feature a C300 face with inverted cone technology.
The carbon crown keeps the head nice and light while the low CG makes for high launch. The Taylormade Stealth 2 has a 185cc head and neutral flight bias.
Taylormade Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood Overview
“The Stealth 2 HD comes in 16, 19 and 22 degree loft versions.”
So right away, you’re getting higher launch with the HD line. The HD version also has heel-biased weighting to help produce a draw.
The Taylormade Stealth 2 HD also has a slightly larger 200cc head.
Overall, the HD was a bit more forgiving and produced playable lies even on my mis-hits.
But I was losing some carry because of the high launch that can’t be worked down.
“If you like to work the ball from left to right with your woods, the Taylormade Stealth 2 is a good choice. But if you need height to carry further, the Taylormade Stealth 2 HD is the better option.”

“The Taylormade Stealth 2 fairway woods have a very nice feel and launch high. A solid option for high handicappers.”
Taylormade Stealth 2 Fairway Woods – First Impressions
“Our first impression of the Taylormade Stealth 2 fairway woods was that they didn’t really change much from the last Stealth offering.”
And while this assessment was generally astute, we can’t fault Taylormade for it. That’s because what they did change was how forgiving the Stealth fairway woods are. Forgiveness and feel have definitely been improved since the original Stealth Fairway woods and that’s really what high handicap players will be looking for.
Taylormade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood Family
“The Standard Taylormade Stealth 2 fairway woods will be a great option for mid and high handicap players.”
The Taylormade Stealth 2 Plus fairway woods are the only ones that don’t have a C300 face construction. Instead, Taylormade used titanium, which isn;t bad; but it just doesn;t feel as responsive as the C300 steel faces that the standard and HD versions have. The HD version has the biggest head though at 200cc (3 wood).
