Uneekor is the most prominent name in overhead indoor golf launch monitors. If you are looking for a permanent solution for your indoor practice space, Uneekor may be a good place to start your shopping.
However, Uneekor doesn’t make just one model of launch monitor. Uneekor makes a few different launch monitor/simulator products. Between models however, there are more similarities than differences so making a choice can be difficult.
In the following article, we will be breaking down the minute differences between the Uneekor QED and Uneekor Eye XO systems that you need to know about.
Uneekor QED Overview
The Uneekor QED is a fixed overhead golf launch monitor that comes with its own simulation software.
It should be noted that the Uneekor QED needs to be affixed to the ceiling above your practice space. The unit that is attached to the ceiling houses two high-speed cameras that track your swing and ball flight from above.
As you can imagine, this is an indoor-only launch monitor and you need to at least connect your PC to it in order to read the data. Of course, you can set the QED system up with a projector screen for a more immersive experience.
It should also be noted that you need 10-12 feet of clearance space between yourself and the impact screen/surface. It is also recommended that you have 9-10 feet of overhead space between the ceiling and the floor.
After the Uneekor QED has been installed, it’s very easy to start enjoying simulated games and practice sessions in your own home.
Uneekor Eye XO Overview
The Uneekor EYE XO system provides more in-depth club data than the less-expensive QED model.
In case you’re wondering, the Uneekor EYE XO costs about $3000 more than the QED model. However, there isn’t a whole lot at the core that is different about the Uneekor EYE XO system.
It does provide more club tracking metrics which may be worth the price alone to club pros and scratch players really trying to hone their game. It is also mounted in front of the player as opposed to behind like the QED model.
The software is also different (and updated) with the Uneekor EYE XO and the cameras are apparently more advanced. That’s about it though.
The Uneekor EYE XO provides the same rich simulation and launch monitor experience with a few more perks.

The Uneekor EYE XO is a slightly more advanced version than the QED model but the basics are the same.
Uneekor QED First Impressions
We really liked the idea of having a mark and knowing that the overhead camera would pick up our shots accurately.
We haven’t mentioned yet but both the QED and Uneekor EYE XO models are incredibly accurate.
Key Features
The Uneekor QED has a pair of high-sensitivity, high-speed cameras that track both club and ball data.
The QED can track ball data including side angle, ball speed, back spin, side spin, distance to apex, carry, run, land angle, angle of descent, flight time and total distance.
The package comes with stickers that you place on the ball so that the cameras can accurately assess metrics like spin and angle.
The club metrics include smash factor, club speed, club face to path, club face angle and club path. The QED system comes with the “Ignite” software loaded up onto an included USB drive.
We were impressed with the accuracy of this model and the sheer volume of metrics it provides.
Uneekor EYE XO First Impressions
The Uneekor EYE XO was a bit more intimidating and hard to traverse what with the additional data.
We were also a little bit disappointed with the graphics of the course simulations.
Key Features
The Uneekor EYE XO provides more robust club data.
You get all the ball and club data with the Uneekor EYE XO as with the QED model. However, added to the mix are club lie angle, club loft angle, impact point vertical and impact point horizontal.
The cameras used to track these metrics are also said to be higher quality but we didn’t really notice a difference. The Uneekor EYE XO was just as accurate as the QED model.
The software is also upgraded a bit from the Ignite suite to the “View” suite. Still, you can opt for the more expensive “Refine” or “Succeed” software suites.
It took us hours to get through all the shot data that came from just a couple of sessions with the Uneekor EYE XO.

Who is the Uneekor QED for?
The QED model would be great for anyone serious about improving their game.
Even though it lacks some of the more in-depth club data that the Uneekor EYE XO provides, it still has enough for the everyday golfer to lower their score.
Pros:
- It’s less expensive than the Uneekor EYE XO model
- Attaches easily with an ethernet cable
- Comes with practice balls
- The data readout on this device is almost instantaneous
Cons:
- Fewer club metrics than the Uneekor EYE XO
- The simulations don’t look great

The Uneekor EYE XO is for anyone who wants the most precise insights on their swing.
The added club metrics do actually help you work out some of the finer kinks in your swing.
