Phigolf Vs Tittle X Golf Simulator Comparison Overview

Being able to keep your skills sharp in the off-season is important for many golfers. Others just want to have fun playing their favorite game. Whichever best describes you, pay attention to the following article.

In recent years companies like TopGolf have cashed in on the expanded appeal of the game of golf. Smaller developers have taken notice and taken the concept of golf simulation a step further – into the living room.

Today we are going to be taking a close look at a couple of home golf simulators that have been getting a lot of attention recently to help you decide which one might work for you.

Phigolf Overview

The Phigolf simulation system plays a lot like a video game. Unlike a video game though, it provides you with real-time shot data.

If you have ever played video games with motion sensors then you will feel pretty at ease with the Phigolf simulation system. We tested the Phigolf swing stick in the office and we gotta say, it was a lot of fun.

How it works is with the swing stick. The Phigolf system comes with a swing stick which is essentially a short wand with a golf grip and advanced sensors attached that track your swing and send data to your phone or connected device.

The device can then be connected to your TV so you can see all the action and shot data right on your TV. It should also be noted that you can attach the sensor to your actual golf clubs if you want a more realistic experience.

While the Phigolf system does not provide the most robust launch monitor data, it more than fits the bill for fun recreational use.

Tittle X Overview

Like the Phigolf system the Tittle X sensor can be attached to a short swing stick or your actual golf clubs.

For both of these systems, we used the swing stick because one of the major draws of both of these systems is that you can essentially play golf anywhere; even in small rooms.

Like the Phigolf system, the Tittle X system can connect to the E6 connect app for a bunch of helpful swing and shot stats. We would say the Tittle X is a bit less recreational as it doesn’t support online play – yet.

The Tittle X offers lovers of the game a way to enjoy golf conveniently in their own homes.

The Tittle X is a straightforward golf simulator that will feel more familiar for a lot of golfers.

Phigolf First Impressions

The Phigolf system was pretty easy to set up and we liked the fact that it could be used with multiple simulation apps.

You can use the Phigolf system whether you prefer E6 Connect or the WGT golf simulators.

Key Features

The Phigolf system features simulated golf courses from around the world.

For instance, you can play on Celtic Manor, Whistler, Royal St. George’s, Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Wolf Creek, Edgewood Tahoe, Pinhurst and more.

With the Phigolf app connected you can play multiplayer golf games with friends and get 3D swing analysis. Of course, with the E6 connect app, you can play full tournaments and go head-to-head with players from around the world.

The swing stick with the sensor picks up all your shot data and renders it on the screen as an avatar that mimics your swing.

There are more than 80 courses to choose from and the simulated renderings look really nice. There is a fun closest to the hole game too.

The Phigolf system can help you practice by picking up shot metrics like carry distance, roll distance, spin rate and apex height.

You can use the Phigolf simulator on your smartphone, tablet, TV or projector.

Tittle X First Impressions

The Tittle X was a little less intuitive to set up but it played more like a traditional golf simulator.

In fact, if you have used a golf simulator in the past, you will probably feel more at home with the Tittle X.

Key Features

Unlike the Phigolf system, there is no rendered avatar of you on the screen.

It seems like a small detail but it actually makes it feel less like a video game and more like a serious golf simulator/launch monitor.

The Tittle X can also be connected to E6 Connect which gives you access to a lot of lushly simulated golf courses from around the world.

The Tittle X can be connected to your smartphone or tablet, TV and even your smartwatch. It also tracks more (useful) data than the Phigolf system. For instance, you get carry distance, club head speed, total distance, backspin readings, side spin readings, club face readings, shot tempo readings, ball speed, deviation, dispersion and shot direction data.

The Tittle X simulator features will do more to help you improve your game.
