Titleist TS4 Vs Callaway Paradym Driver Comparison Overview

Titleist and Callaway have been jockeying for market share for decades now.

The interesting thing though is that they often incorporate very different types of technology and features to lure their respective customers.

This divergence of design paths is very evident when comparing the Callaway Paradym driver to the Titleist TS4 driver. We wanted to highlight what makes each of these drivers unique and tell you all about how they perform in the following comparison overview.

Titleist TS4 Driver Overview

“The Titleist TS4 features a 430cc head volume and forward oriented weighting.”

We found that the smaller head shape made the Titleist TS4 much more workable off the tee than the Paradym driver. But the increased workability comes at the expense of forgiveness. If you are the kind of player who uses the entire club face, you will likely experience twisting and wide divergence with the Titleist TS4.

The spin rates were excellent though and stayed in the 1500-1700 RPM ballpark. Average carry after three swings each was 240.2 yards. The rollout was substantial though so we were seeing total distance in the 260 yard neighborhood.

The face depth of the Titleist TS4 is very similar to the Paradym which is surprising since the Paradym has a significantly higher head volume. And while low-face strikes on the Titleist TS4 didn’t lose much ball speed, the Paradym was significantly more forgiving.

Callaway Paradym Driver Overview

“The Titleist TS4 features a 460cc head volume, forged carbon sole, all-carbon body, forged titanium face and an adjustable 15g rear weight.”

Our off-line divergence was better with the Paradym; but most of that came from the ability to adjust shot shape with the 15g rear sliding weight. So you can be more accurate with the Paradym driver than you can with the Titleist TS4. And technically, you can work the ball with this driver too; it will just take weight adjustments.

Even at 460cc, the Paradym driver feels light in the hands and plays a bit longer than the Titleist TS4 for slower swing speed players. It’s very forgiving and can offer super-straight flight if you need it.

“The Titleist TS4 is definitely for faster swing speed players who have no trouble making consistent contact with the sweet spot. The Callaway Paradym driver is the inherently more forgiving driver and will appeal more to slower swing speed players.”

Titleist TS4 Driver – First Impressions

“The Titleist TS4, like many Titleist drivers, has a very clean, classic look at address.”

It looks very sexy behind the ball and gives you the sense that you can really get the club head going fast. The spin rate on perfect strikes was also impressive and generated great overall distance which is partially due to the rollout.

Callaway Paradym Driver – First Impressions

“The Blue colored full carbon chassis of the Callaway Paradym really grew on us as the round wore on, espeically due to the exceptional forgiveness from the clubs Ai enhanced face”

The Ai enhancement of the forged titanium face ensures that the ball is going straight from almost any area across it.

It is also big and inviting in the Paradym and Paradym X models.

The Triple diamond is more compact and will offer tour players longer distance and more workability in the 2023 season.

The Face Cup Technology wraps around the face to extend the forgiveness even further and enhance the flex across the face.

The Ai Jailbreak speedbar technology is still on offer but it is reduced to a single bar again with two prons at the bottom. This offers enhanced ballspeeds and increased stability.

The 360 Degree Carbon chassis is a first in the industry and offers unrivalled weight savings which are then redistributed to enhance the ball speeds on offer.

Overall these clubs are longer, more forgiving and feel better than their predecessors.

The only problem is the premium price tag that comes with them which is close to $700 or £600.

Callaway Paradym Family

The Paradym has an adjustable 15g slot that can be adjusted to suit your swing style.

It offers mid level spin and superb distance. Were getting around 10 yards further the Rogue ST Driver from 2022.

For someone that tends to draw the ball a little bit, the Paradym X was drawing a bit much for my liking but it will definitely suit a slicer.

It is the highest launching, highest spinning model with the shortest distance.

It is probably worth sacrificing that extra distance to actually land on the Fairway more consistently.

Expect to see the Paradym Triple Diamond extensively on tour this year, while some Tour Pros will prefer the regular Paradym.

The Diamond version has a 450cc head, and adjustable weighting. It offers stronger lofts, the most distance and the lowest launch angle.

Who is the Titleist TS4 For?

“The Titleist TS4 is best for mid to low handicap players.”

While the deep face profile does make thin shots seem, well, thicker, there isn’t much forgiveness help outside of that. Instead, this is a driver best-suited to players who can work the ball and don’t stress so much about making contact with the sweet spot.

The Titleist TS Family of Drivers

The Titleist TS3 Driver

The biggest difference between the Titleist TS4 and the Titleist TS3 (besides head volume) is that the Titleist TS3 has an adjustable weight that can be placed in a neutral or draw/fade biased. This gives golfers a lot more flexibility from the tee and even better, can help you fix a nasty slice or hook.

Titleist TS2 Driver

Like the Titleist TS4 and TS3 driver, the Titleist TS2 has an adjustable loft sleeve. Of the three drivers though, the TS2 has a more elongated head and unconventional shape (460cc).

Who is the Callaway Paradym Driver for?

“The 3 Paradym drivers on offer from Callaway have enough firepower to suit every type of golfer possible.”

While the draw bias X version was a little too draw bias for us. Some players who don’t slice the ball have found it incredibly straight. It launches high and it is the most forgiving by far. Slightly less distance than the regular Paradym.

The regular Paradym will be the best choice for almost all players. It has an adjustable 15g weight on the back that will suit and shot type.

This one is jam packed with the latest ai technology and carbon body. We found it 10 yards longer and more forgiving than the 2022 model.

The triple diamond is going to be limited to the best strikers in the game.

We were spraying this one left and right but when we did catch it flush, it flew for miles.

Overall a very impressive if not slightly expensive set of drivers.

Distance: 97/100

Accuracy: 95/100

Forgiveness: 96/100
