Titleist TSi3 Vs Cobra Radspeed Drivers Comparison And Review 2021

The last couple of years has seen some amazing drivers hit the market.

Back in October of 2020, we were introduced to the newest additions of the Tsi models, the TSi2 and TSi3.

Like many other Titleist drivers in the past, they met with almost immediate fanfare.

Then in the first quarter of this year, Cobra upped their game from the Speedzone family of clubs to the Radspeed.

These relatively new drivers may be of interest to you so we decided to compare them side by side in the following review.

Titleist TSi3 Driver Overview

The Titleist TSi3 driver was meant for mid to low handicap players who have less trouble making solid contact but still want optimal CG placement.

The best thing about the Titleist TSi3 driver is the 5 position sliding weight. This weight allows you to adjust to 2 heel positions, 2 tow positions and a neutral position.

The shaping options are almost endless with this driver that also has an adjustable hosel.

It doesn’t feel bad either. The face was made from aerospace grade titanium.

Its super thin and super strong and creates solid contact you can hear and feel. Overall this is a great driver if you are looking for more precision off the tee.

Cobra Radspeed Driver Overview

The Cobra Radspeed driver is also customizeable with adjustable rear and back weights.

The Cobra Radspeed driver pretty much picks up where the Speedzone driver from 2020 left off.

It still has the CNC Infinity milled face that stretches the sweet spot out to the perimeter. It also has a full carbon fiber crown to keep the weight down.

This is helpful because the Radspeed driver has innovative radial weighting.

Essentially, the Radspeed driver has 28 grams of weight placed as forward in the head as possible – 12 grams of which are adjustable.

There are also 10 grams of weight placed as far back in the head as possible – 2 grams of which are also adjustable.

The split weighting virtually eliminates all spin off the tee for impressive distance.

The Titleist TSi3 lacks the exotic looks of the Radspeed but it’s clear that this driver is for the better player who have achieved a level of consistency with their clubs. There is no messing about and there is no doubt that Titleist are among the top clubs used by Pro players who are not sponsored.

The Radspeed has ton of features and performance for high to low handicappers. Expect a lower spin rate and more forgiveness in the Radspeeds features.

Titleist TSi3 Driver – First Impressions

The Titleist TSi3 driver has a clean design that makes this club an instant hit for Titleist fans.

We couldn’t way to get out to the range and play with the sliding weight. This club really allows for optimal ball placement.

You will also notice that the 460cc head shape is very aerodynamic. You can almost feel the absence of drag on your downswing.

If you are someone that is consistent in their swing, the Titleist TSi3 is an excellent option to consider.

The Tsi Family

The Tsi family also includes the Tsi 2 driver.

The Tsi 2 features a lower CG than the Titleist TSi3 driver for higher launch angles.

The Tsi4 on the other hand has a 425CC head and produces the lowest spin of the bunch.

Cobra Radspeed – First Impressions

“Like it’s predecessor, the Speedzone driver, the Radspeed feels light and wieldy in the hands. You can feel and hear the quality materials used after your first swing.

We were really impressed with the milled face of this driver. It feels incredible and is extremely reactive.

The Radspeed is really starting to challenging the biggest names in the driver department like the Pings, Taylormades and Titleists.

The Radspeed Family

The Radspeed XB driver features back-biased radial weighting (20 grams in the back and 8 in the front) which allows for higher, straighter shots.

The Radspeed XD driver features heel-biased weighting (8 grams in front, 10 in the middle and 14 in the back) perfect for those looking to avoid a slice.

Who Are The TSi3 Drivers For

This driver is best for players who don’t have to worry so much about accuracy and have moved on to shaping their drives.

You get a ton of custom draw and lie options with this driver.

You will still have to have a pretty good swing speed if you want to get maximum distance from this driver; but if you don’t have a fast swing speed, the other drivers in the Tsi family will be better suited to your needs anyway.

Cobra Radspeed – Who are the for?

The Cobra Radspeed driver is for low to mid handicappers who prefer forward-biased center of gravity.

The bottom line is that the Cobra Radspeed driver will produce less spin off the tee than even the Titleist Tsi3. It’s remarkably workable as well thanks to the two adjustable weights in the front and back.

Our only real gripe about this driver is that adjusting the weights is kind of tricky. It’s not as easy as the sliding weight of the Titleist TSi3 driver. The TSi3 driver also has a slew of custom shaft options.

The Radspeed Family

The Rad X B

The Rad X B has everything the Radspeed has but it offers more forgiveness and easier launch than the Radspeed.

There is less spin and that offers straighter shots

The Rad X D

The Draw version of the driver, super forgiving for High Handicappers who are prone to slicing the ball.

Check this out for the maximum straight shots for slicers.
