The T250’s from Titleist and the Zxi5 Irons from Srixon are hollow bodied players distance irons for golfer who want power and distance without giving up all the forgiveness of game improvement irons while still being accurate enough to hunt the pins.

The T250’s were higher launching, longer, with steep descent angles but slightly less spin than the Zxi5’s

They were also more consistent in our testing with tighter dispersions and improved accuracy but the irons were not a million miles apart.

These are hollow body players distance irons but the design is more similar to a players iron and with L Face forged face sitting in front the irons sound and feel as good as anything in the players distance category.

The entire T Series has uniform descent angles too which we observed to be through. So if you using the T350 long irons and the T250 Mid irons and the T150 Scoring irons, they will all look the same in the bag and you should be able to catch the greens easily with each iron.

We’ve got Tungsten weighting in the heel and the toe of the club with Max impact technology sitting behind the face for tight dispersions, soft feel and a beautiful forged sound and feel.

The unpopular badge of the T200’s is gone and now the clean design now matches the rest of the set and the uniform design allows and encourages seamless mixing and matching between the sets.

Progressive grooves increases the spin rates as we get closer to the green and the Irons start at a 2 iron, with these longer irons even making it onto the PGA Tour.

Srixon Zxi5 Irons Overview

The Srixon ZXi5’s are also Hollow Body players distance irons that aim to compete in this packed category with some of the best irons in golf like the T250’s and the P790’s.

The irons sit in a mainframe design which is a little bulky and thick for an iron aimed at better players.

These irons are all about distance, forgiveness and accuracy and the I forging process aims to give 7% softer feel to the clubs which do feel beautiful to hit.

The Srixon series also aims to promote mix and matching with the ZXi4 being longer and forgiving and the the Zxi7 being the players iron from Srixon.

The irons are aimed at consistent strikers who dont want to sacrifice distance while hunting for pins with precision and scoring a bunch of pars and birdies.

The have progressive grooves for more accuracy in the scoring irons and VT tour design which cuts through the turf effortlessly in these impressive irons.

The Tungsten weighting also stretches the sweet spot on the compact blades and ensures consistency.

They are set in the middle of the Srixon ZXi4 game improvement iron which focusses on Distance and forgiveness and the ZXi7 which is focusses on control, workability and precision for low handicappers.

The performance of the T250’s was superior in our testing in almost every category.

They were longer, higher and with more stopping power than the Srixons despite having very similar lofts.

Tehy were also more consistent and more accurate in hunting the pins.

The T250 is the clear winner of this contest but it is not 1 million miles away and always best to go for a fitting.
