Titleist T150 Vs Titleist T200 Irons Comparison Overview
The T series of irons has always been known for tour-caliber performance.
So much so that it can be very difficult to choose between different models in the series.
But in the following comparison overview, we will be helping you decide between the Titleist T150 and Titleist T200 irons.
Read on to find out the most important performance aspects of each set.
Titleist T150 Irons Overview
“The Titleist T150 are forged irons with CNC milled faces.”
At address, they are just a bit more compact than the Titleist T200 irons.
Amazingly, the forging doesn’t give these irons a very soft feel. Contact feels solid, clean and clear but not exactly soft like you would expect.
But that doesn’t detract much from the overall feel. The Titleist T150’s still feel very satisfying upon impact.
The Titleist T150 irons were also surprisingly forgiving.
Heel and toe-side mis-hits were not being punished thanks to the tungsten perimeter weighting.
Still, with the compact shaping of these irons, you have to be a pretty consistent striker.
With the 7-iron in this set, I averaged a carry distance of 152.4 yards which is a bit under my average with my gamers.
But the Titleist T150’s proved their worth through shot-shaping. They were very workable and allowed me to shift the ball from left to right as needed.
Titleist T200 Irons Overview
“The biggest difference between the Titleist T150 and the Titleist T200 irons is that the T200’s have a hollow-body design.”
And you can really feel this design at work from the tee or off the deck.
I was able to manage an average carry distance of 158.8 yards with the 7-iron in this set which is actually a bit higher than my gamer average.
The dual taper forged face also offers a solid, clean feel upon contact and actually expands the sweet spot a bit.
I felt that I had a bit more wiggle room with the T200’s than I did with the Titleist T150’s.
And to my surprise, the Titleist T200’s were almost as workable as the Titleist T150’s.
“Thankfully, the choice is pretty clear with these irons.
If you need a bit more forgiveness and tend to use the entire face, I would recommend the Titleist T200 irons.
It was also the longer iron set in this test. The Titleist T150’s would be better if you prefer a more classic look and could use the extra workability.”

Titleist T150 – First Impressions
The first thing we noticed about the T150 was the classy, refined look that we are used to in Titleist irons.
The blades have a compact blade length and minimal offset but the wider soles offer more confidence at address.
The refined muscle channel is also immediately noticeable, adding to the power and distance of the irons.
You may not notice the CNC Precision milled grooves or the Tungsten weighting in the toe and the heel but you will definitely notice and get to know them as your strike your irons.
Overall, you are going to get the tour refined shaping with an extra bit of power and forgiveness, perfect for those perhaps trying out forged players irons for the first time.
Titleist T200 First Impressions
You can tell just by looking at them that the Titleist T200 irons are player’s irons
The first thing you will notice about these irons is the size of the head. The Titleist T200 feature a player’s profile shape and a very thin topline. However, the Titleist T200’s also have strong lofts which becomes apparent pretty quickly.
You wouldn’t expect the high level of feel that you get from these irons just by looking at them though. The engineered muscle back plates are tuned to enhance feedback and feel while at the same time dampening unwanted vibrations.
The Titleist T200 can surprise in terms of forgiveness and distance too. While certainly not the longest or most forgiving irons in the T series, the L-shaped face insert helps expand the sweet spot out towards the toe.
What advanced players will be able to enjoy almost immediately is the feel from the forged face insert. These irons give an unmistakable forged feel that low handicappers will go crazy for.
The “Max Impact” polymer insert also helps out with ball speed. It acts as a springboard behind the face to push the ball further and faster. The only catch is that you pretty much have to hit the ball dead-center to benefit from the Max Impact insert.
The Titleist T200 feature a unique combination of features that mostly improve feel and accuracy.

Who Are The T150 Irons For
The T150 are for low handicappers who want more distance and forgiveness than what is on offer with the T100’s.
Similar in blade length but with thicker soles and enhanced tungsten weighting offers tour like performance with more distance for slower swing speeds and more forgiveness for the top players who lack consistency.
The one thing that may put golfers off is the higher price point of the irons in today’s game.
Titleist T Series Family Of Irons
The third iteration of the T series is upon us in 2023. The T100 are the most player friendly and they get steadily longer and more forgiving as you move through the family up towards the Game improvement irons like the T300’s.
