Precise M3 Golf Club Set Review 2023

The Precise M3 men’s golf club set is a complete set of beginner’s clubs that would be a perfect entry-point into the game for newbies.

Precise M3

The Precise M3 golf club set proves that you don’t have to pay a premium price for a good entry-level set of golf clubs.

You can typically find the Precise M3 complete golf club set on sale between $390 and $500 which is a pretty decent price for a complete set of clubs. In this set, beginners will find everything they need to start learning the game – from drives to putts.

The Precise M3 golf club set was designed for beginners and high handicappers. After testing them firsthand, we can confirm that they would be a good choice for new golfers. What makes us say that?

For one thing, the set starts out with a very large, generous driver. Most beginners will have no trouble finding the sweet spot on this thing. The Precise M3 golf club set also comes with cavity back irons.

Irons are notoriously hard to work with but having a cavity back design helps with forgiveness. The blade lengths of the irons are nice and long too, adding to their forgiveness.

But perhaps the best thing about the Precise M3 golf club set is that it comes with everything you need to play a full round right out of the box. For anyone tired of borrowing clubs or cobbling together a full set from mismatched clubs, the Precise M3 offers a viable and affordable solution.

Precise M3 – What’s in the Bag?

The Precise M3 complete golf club set includes the following clubs and pieces:

Precise M3 – First Impressions & Club Breakdowns

The Precise M3 golf clubs first impressed us with how easy they were to swing.

We were taken aback at how smooth the driver felt on swing transition. The same was true for the fairway wood. It’s very easy to turn the woods over on your downswing. So right off the bat, they will feel comfortable and help impart good swing mechanics.

Driver

The set kicks off with a generously sized titanium alloy driver. Titanium is a very thin metal which means the face flexes to a high degree, helping to increase ball speeds for players with slower than average swing speeds.

Woods

The Precise M3 set includes a single #3 fairway wood. The head of this fairway wood is aerodynamically designed. It was obvious to us after testing that Precise really wanted to focus on helping new players increase their swing speed right away.

Hybrids

You also get a hybrid club set to 21 degrees of loft which makes it equivalent to a 3 iron or 3 hybrid. The hybrid didn’t do too great in the rough or on divot shots. However, it did produce impressive distance.

Irons

You get irons 6-9 in this set. What we liked most about the irons was the pronounced offset that made it much easier to square up and get shots straight down the fairway. Launch could be improved in the longer irons, but the important thing for beginners is that the blades are long enough to impart a high degree of forgiveness.

Wedges

The Precise M3 set only includes a pitching wedge which is a bit of a disappointment but at least this sole wedge launches nice and high. Oddly enough, the face grooves are nice and tight so if you have the skill, you can impart a decent amount of backspin to the ball with this club.

Putter

The putter is a traditional mallet-style putter which feels very well balanced. The face insert provides plenty of feedback which is great for beginners trying to improve their short game.

Shafts

All of the irons in this set come with True Temper steel shafts. The woods feature graphite shafts. It’s an interesting choice to include steel shafts on a set of beginner’s irons as graphite shafts increase flex and help with distance.

Still, where the Precise M3 irons may lack distance, they make up for with higher than average  control and accuracy.

While more affordable beginner sets can be had, the Precise M3 golf club set is surprisingly complete for a game-improvement set.

Precise M3 Selling Points

  • Good spin control from the wedge
  • The cavity back irons have a high MOI
  • The blades of the irons are nice and long to increase forgiveness
  • The Precise M3 set is available in standard and tall lengths
  • The set includes 3 head covers
  • The grips have indicators for hand placement

Precise M3 Cons

  • They aren’t the most durable clubs out there
  • The legs of the stand bag bend easily
  • The longer irons don’t launch very high
  • Turf interaction isn’t great in the hybrid club

Who is the Precise M3 Golf Club Set for?

The Precise M3 golf club set would be a good choice for anyone new to the game of golf. While it may not be the set that you use once you start to head into the mid-range handicap territory, it will at least get you started on the right foot.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we must reiterate that we were really impressed with the short-game performance of the pitching wedge and the short irons.

While launch was lacking in the long irons, the PW and short irons produced almost effortless launch and spin control was more acute than we would ever expect in a set of game-improvement/beginner clubs.

The Precise M3 men’s complete golf club set is a solid choice if you’re looking to make your first foray into the game of golf or if you are picking the game up again after taking a long hiatus.
