Ping G410 Vs G425 Irons Comparison And Review
Fans of the Ping Irons were left waiting an extra for the G425 irons due to the pandemic, but the clubs were finally released in 2021 and, to be honest, they are not that much different or better than their predecessor.
Ping G410 Irons Overview
The G410’s are game improvement irons that offered a bit more workability for better players than the G400’s with less offset and a deep undercut.
The heads are smaller and more compact and two weights in the hosel and front head of the club allow for a perfect COG to get the ball in the air more easily.
The Variable face thickness and hinge at the back of the head allow for extra forgiveness and these clubs are generally very consistent, generating straight shots and good distance
Changes For The G425 Irons
Ping have gotten rid of the flashy red colors in the G425, reverting to a more subtle but still attractive looking club.
If you are looking for big improvements from the G410’s however you may be disappointed.
The heads are smaller and more compact, they have more of a draw bias, more stability and provide greater forgiveness for high handicappers.
The fact that the G410’s perform almost identically to the G425’s may say more about the G410’s than it does about the G425’s. If you are a high handicapper and dont mind spending a bit extra, you could go with the G425’s but if you are looking to improve and want a better deal, go with the G410’s.
