Nippon Modus 105 Vs Dynamic Gold Mid 100 Shaft Comparison

Today we taking a compartive look between the Nippon Modus 105 and the Dynamic Gold Mid 100 iron shafts.

Nippon Modus 105 Shaft Overview

Nippon Modus 105 Shaft1

The Modus 105 is a lightweight shaft that comes in three weights and three flexes.

103gs = Regular Flex

106.5gs = Stiff Flex

112gs = Extra Stiff Shaft

Golfers with slower to average swing speeds will enjoy the Modus 105 and it produces relatively high launch and spin rates.

Despite its uniform flex, it offers a smooth and seemless stroke for many average golfers and above.

Dynamic Gold Mid 100 Shaft Overview

“TheDynamic Gold Mid 100 Shaft is new for 2024 and also comes in 3 weights and flexes.”

100gs in the regular flex.

115gs in the stiff flex

130gs in the extra stfff flex.

The shaft features a stiffer mid section and more active tip that can also produce higher ball flights and higher spin rates.

This is a great approach for modern clubs with stiff shafts when the ball flight is too low.

“Both shafts suit slower swing speeds who want a higher launch and more spin, especially with the stronger lofted clubs of today. Best way to see what works best is to go to your local fitting center and try them out.”

Nippon Modus 105 First Impressions

Nippon Modus 105 Shaft2

The first thing that will strike most players is how consistent these lightweight shafts are.

The launch is no shocker; but the tight dispersion on all shots and even loading on all swings are what really stand out.

Key Features & Performance

The lightweight appointments are really what give this shaft its character.

It’s accessible and will help you improve your distance by about half a club.

Nippon Modus 105 Iron Review

 Up to the 9-iron you get really strong trajectory and consistent spin/launch. It’s easy to get the ball in the air and you get a very smooth transition.

Nippon Modus 105 Wedge Review

The spin and launch really come in handy when you’re playing from a tight lie but still want to be aggressive.

How Does the Dynamic Gold Mid 100 Shafts Perform?

With the lofts on modern irons getting stronger and stronger, we have the increasing problem of lower ball flights.

Thats where the DG Mid 100 Shafts come, offering a higher ball flight and more spin for these modern clubs.

The problem with the lower flight is that you cant get enough stopping power on the greens and the Mid 100 Shafts fix that issue for many.

The clubs also offer a smoother stroker for many golfers as the tip is more active which will suit many golfers swing.

On the course, you can easily feel how light the shafts are and we got around an extra 1 degree of launch angle and 300 rpms more from our 7 iron on the day.

We noticed similar results in the trackman stuido, slightly more launch angle and spin, as advertised.
