Jupiter +1 Driver Shaft Review – Specs, Flex, Weight
The Jupiter +1 Driver Shaft is one that looks to enhance stability and accuracy while maintaining a lightweight profile.
The Jupiter +1 Driver shaft is less well known than other brands but it offers premium performance in terms of stability and accuracy while maintaining a lightweight profile.
The shaft is designed with the goal of giving golfers a tighter dispersion in their shots and improving consistency off the tee while also giving the optimal launch conditions.
During our testing we used the 60 gram shaft and the very first we got a nice high ball flight, straight down the middle. We were impressed with the stability and balanced feel on the backswing, transition and downswing. The shaft was smooth and felt easy to control.
Even on mishits, the spin stayed quite reasonable where you would normally expect a big slice or hook, the Jupiter +1 was a little more straight.
The shaft is also highly adaptable, it can be used with a variety of different driver heads so you can easily switch over to the Jupiter +1 if your looking for more consistency with the big stick.
Why is the Jupiter +1 Shaft So Popular?
The biggest appeal for us with the Jupiter shaft was the reduction in dispersion with the spin rates staying around that 2000 to 2400 mark even on poorer connections.
There’s plenty of lightweight shafts out their that you will struggle to control the ball with but the stability of the Jupiter shaft is definitely a big selling point.
You can get stability with even with a lighter shaft while you also get an extra kick in ball speed. The balance and smooth feel allows you to find the fairway on a consistent basis, provided the rest of your driver settings are in working order.
How Does the Jupiter +1 Perform?
The Consistency of the Jupiter +1 is the key selling point for golfers.
We were getting spin rates on average of 2100 without too much divergence to either side when caught low or on the toe.
We also got a mid low penetrating ball flight that was also giving a few extra years of total distance over our previous shaft.
If you are struggling with findind the fairway with excessive spin with a slice or a hook. If you need a smooth shaft that gives stability, consistency and distance, the Jupiter is worth checking out.
