We also liked the large soles of the irons which do a good job of sitting on top of the turf instead of chunking it. This would be an ideal set for any beginner who is striving to break 100 and one who really intends to stick with the game.

The woods and hybrid feature graphite shafts while the irons and putter have steel shafts. The CG in almost all the clubs is positioned low and in the back for easier striking and launch.

With the Strata Women’s Complete Golf Club Set, you get a 460cc driver, 5-wood, 5-hybrid, irons 7-SW and a putter. We really liked that this set included both a sand and pitching wedge. We think it would be great for mid handicap players.

The wedges offer acute spin control and surprising workability around the pin that mid handicappers will really appreciate. The 460cc driver plays lone; but offers a somewhat muted and unsatisfactory sound. The woods feature graphite shafts and the irons and putter are fitted with steel shafts.

Speaking of the irons, they have weak lofts which is optimal if distance is what you’re going for. They produce a low, piercing launch that isn’t very workable; but will get you where you need to go.

Now this set is a bit pricier than the first two on our list but you really get good value from these clubs. They are durable and feature the same technology that makes more expensive Taylormade clubs so desirable.

For instance, the woods feature the Speed Pocket which increases forgiveness in the form of preserved ball speed on low-face shots. The set features lightweight graphite shafts and is composed of a driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, 5-hybrid, 6-hybrid, irons 7-SW and a spider-style putter.

The quality of this set is incredible and it is built to be forgiving. The inclusion of a 6-H was especially impressive as it effectively replaced the harder to hit long irons. This would be a great choice for anyone looking for a perfect combo of value and forgiveness.

What we really liked was the titanium driver which was lightweight and very easy to swing. The sweet spot on the driver and the 3-wood is immense so this would be a great choice for anyone who needs more confidence from the tee.

The inclusion of the 5-iron may make this set a bit challenging for beginners and we didn’t like the weight of the hybrid. But either of those clubs can easily be replaced.

The Palm Springs Golf Visa Lady Petite would be a great choice for petite lady golfers because hey shave an entire inch off the standard ladies length clubs. The set also features a titanium driver with a graphite shaft which makes it very light and easy to swing.

You also get a 3-wood, 2 hybrids, irons 5-PW and a blade-style putter. We liked that the driver prduced straight shots even when we missed the sweet spot but we would like to have seen a SW included in this set.

But at just $300, you can’t complain too much. The fairway wood also features a graphite shaft while the irons have steel shafts.

#7. – Cobra Golf 2021 Women’s Fly XL Complete Set – Best for Slow Swing Speeds

What makes the Cobra Golf 2021 Women’s Fly XL Complete Set the best for slow swing speeds? Other than the titanium construction of the wood heads and the graphite shafts, everything about these clubs was designed to save on weight. The irons feature deep cavity backs.

And while this design element detracts from flight stability a bit, that really isn’t the focus of this set. The shaved mass on the irons makes them lighter and more wieldy in the hands of players with slow swing speeds. Cobra makes excellent lightweight clubs and we were happy to see that they applied the same tech and precision to their ladies golf clubs.

The irons also produce great apex height. Many of our testers were able to land the green with the 7 iron in this set as the distance was just right and landing the ball dead was very easy thanks to the launch angles. You get great overall performance from this set.

The GolfGirl FWS3 Ladies Golf Clubs Set is a scant set that would be ideal for pure beginners. The clubs included are a driver, 4-hybrid, irons 6-PW and a mid-mallet putter. You’ll notice that the GolfGirl FWS3 Ladies Golf Clubs Set is lacking a fairway wood but for pure beginners, that won’t be much of a problem.

What impressed us the most about these clubs was the irons. The irons produce very high launch with virtually no effort. The mid-mallet putter also imparts forgiveness; but not at the expense of precision.  You get good feedback from the putter and a surprisingly smooth roll.

Plus the white head finish will stand in stark contrast to the green so you will be able to see your line crisply and clearly. The driver has a tinny sound and doesn’t do much to correct a slice; but it’s lightweight and should help new players get their swing speeds up. Another great thing about this set is that the driver, hybrid and irons all sport graphite shafts. The only steel shaft is on the putter.

The MacGregor Women’s CG3000 Golf Package Set features a 13 degree driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons 7-PW and a mallet-style putter. Pretty much every club in this set has weak loft characteristics which is ideal for any player struggling with distance.

You will get great launch angles from pretty much every club in the set which will help with carry distance from the tee and help you get over hazards with the irons. The irons have a very nice design too. They are cavity backs but have a bit more mass placed near the toe.

This was a great asset for our testers who were intentionally hitting out near the toe to test the irons’ accuracy. They found that the irons fly straight even on mis-hits near the toe. The putter also felt very well-balanced. This is a great set for any player who struggles to get the ball airborne.

If you don’t have a ton of money to spend, then you should seriously consider the Nitro X Factor 13 Piece Golf Set. It includes a driver set to 12 degrees, a 3-wood, a hybrid set to 24 degrees, irons 6-9 and a putter. The main emphasis for this set is forgiveness.

One of the first things you will notice about the clubs is that almost all of them have pronounced offset. This is especially true of the driver and the hybrid. These clubs will help you close up the face and keep your balls straight. Another great thing about this set is that all the clubs have graphite shafts.

Yes, this includes the irons. The Nitro X Factor 13 Piece Golf Set is very lightweight but durability will certainly be an issue. In our testing session, we dented the driver and most of the irons got scratched up pretty good. That being said, this set provides an excellent level of forgiveness for the price.
