We felt that way after testing the set mainly because of the acute short-game control you get with the wedges and short irons and also because of the gapping issues.

The lack of a 4 iron won’t be too much trouble for faster swing speed players; but it could pose a problem for players who are still struggling with distance from their woods.

Still, this is a good set for beginners too because all of the clubs have low CG and are plenty forgiving.

The irons are particularly helpful for teaching beginners how to work them. The long blades make for a large sweet spot and their offset will help improve accuracy for beginners and high handicappers.

Distance is a bit of a problem again with the irons which is another reason we would say that this set is best for intermediate players if we had to choose just one group.
