Ping G430 Driver – First Impressions

“The Ping G430 drivers have a noticeably different design than previous Ping G drivers.”

The face has a more shallow profile yet the crown and sole have a more rounded design. Overall the Ping G430 drivers look really unique. They also have the signature “ping” sound at impact which is really satisfying and lets you know when you’ve struck the ball perfectly.

We were also impressed that all three drivers in the new line come with movable weights. This will help a wide array of players who are struggling against a draw or a fade. It’ll also help you put more power behind the area of the face that you tend to make contact with.

The adjustable loft sleeve will also help you dial these drivers in during fittings. Ping did a good job of upping the adjustability element of the new Ping G430 so that they appeal to a wider array of players. Unless you have a handicap in the 0-5 range, the new Ping G430 driver can benefit your long game in one way or another.

The Ping G430 Family

If you are a better player looking to squeeze more yards out of your drive with muted spin, the Ping G430 LST is definitely the driver for you. If you are a high handicapper, go with the Ping G430 Max. If you are struggling with accuracy off the tee, the Ping G430 SFT would benefit you most.

The Titleist TSR2 Driver – Best Premium For Seniors

Titleist are well known for their premium quality clubs. The distance, forgiveness and easy launching attributes of the TSR2 should be an excellent combo for a senior golfer off the tee.

The first thing to notice about this club is head shaping. Titleist have gone for a more classic look in the most stable and forgiving offering in the TSR Range.

That means a Boat Trail at the trailing edge of the club and a rounder smooth curvature that Titleist Traditionalists will love, it looks like a Titleist driver.

All the frills have been removed from the sole of the club and the result again is more minimalist and clean.

Multi Plateau Variable Face Thickness allows this club to be extremely consistent in regard to ball speed and direction. It’s got an incredibly thin face in the middle with strategically thicker areas to the side.

This results in consistent ball speed and flight path when hit in common miss locations on the face.

This ensures that the TSR2 is the ‘Max’ version of this series and will suit players who struggle to hit the sweet spot every time.

This driver produces more club head speed, ball speed, and carry distance than the TSi2. It also has less spin, a lower launch angle, and more consistency resulting in an excellent new driver overall for Titleist.

The club has plenty of options for adjustments too, you can adjust the lie and loft independently with the club lofts running from 8 degrees to 11.

The TSR2 is certainly an upgrade on the TSi2 for us and is a club that will suit both tour and amateur players this season.

Titleist Tsi1 Hybrid

In 20 Words Or Less

Don’t be fooled by the deathly looks, it is incredibly easy to hit and built specifically for slower swing speeds.

Titleist TSi1 Hybrid Selling Points

  • Lightweight design promotes clubhead speed
  • Maximum distance and forgiveness
  • Traditional looking shape
  • Adjustable SureFit Hosel

Titleist Tsi1 Hybrid First Impressions

Our first impression of the Titleist TSi1 hybrid was it looked very simple, but boy did it pack a punch. There are no fancy bells and whistles, or colors and lines.

It sets up extremely well behind the ball, which gives you confidence right from the beginning.

It may be simple in looks, but it is definitely not simple in results. It was so easy to get the ball up in the air, even on poorly struck shots, it seemed like the ball still got up in the air and traveled a considerable distance.

We really loved the sound and feel of the TSi1, again similar to the looks, very simple, not too loud or too dull, not too hard or too soft.

When you first pick up the club, you can feel the light weight of it, and when swinging the club the speed you generate is astounding. This obviously equates to awesome distance.

It only has 4 loft options, similar products in other manufacturers have more, however the adjustable SureFit Hosel gives you the versatility that the other game improvements models don’t have.

The Titleist TSi1 Hybrid Family

As you would guess there is also a TSi3 model, you can read more about it in this article, so no need to dive into details here.

There is another model in this family, the TSi2 and as you would presume it falls right in between the TSi1 and TSi3 models.

The TSi2 is more of a forgiving model like the TSi1, this would suit a mid handicap golfer. It still has a low spin profile, but with its high launch properties it makes it easy to hit.

It has 3 loft options with the SureFit Hosel system. Titliest say it is for “Players with a sweeping delivery seeking a forgiving long iron replacement.”

Distance: 94/100

Feel & Control: 93/100

Accuracy: 96/100

Forgiveness: 93/100

Overall Score: 94/100

Callaway Big Bertha B21 Fairway

In 20 Words or Less

The ultimate game improvement weapon, great price for extraordinary performance and the easiest fairway woods to hit straight in the game today hands down.

Callaway Big Bertha B21 Selling Points

  • Cheap price point
  • Jailbreak technology for faster ball speeds
  • Big offset for straight shots
  • A.I design
  • Larger profile, making it easier to hit

Callaway Big Bertha B21 Fairway First Impressions

At first the price seemed a bit off putting, can something that is so much cheaper than the top of the range models actually compete with the best?

Boy were we wrong, this fairway wood is the high handicap golfers dream. It is so easy to launch and the design of the head will give anyone confidence.

The larger profile and slight offset, will work well for a high handicap golfer struggling with a slice.

The A.I technology and Jailbreak technology work very well, from the get go we could see the forgiveness was outstanding and ball speeds were high. Something any high handicap golfer would die for.

Just be careful, this club is truly aimed at a high handicap player, it spins quite a lot which helps the ball get up in the air, and the offset is quite prominent. If you are someone that draws the ball, we suggest looking at a different fairway wood, the offset will cause you to hook the ball.

It is not adjustable, this may be off putting to some of the better golfers.

Distance: 95/100

Feel & Control: 90/100

Accuracy: 94/100

Forgiveness: 96/100
