Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI Shaft Review – Specs, Flex, Weight
If you were a fan of the Aldila Rogue Silver 130 MSI but didn’t quite have the aggressive tempo required to unlock its full potential, the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI is here to help.
In terms of performance, the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI sits between the Silver and Black versions. It doesn’t launch as low as the silver or black but the low spin rates are still present.
Needless to say, we were very impressed with this shaft when we tested it. Right off the bat, it presents an active profile even if you don’t have a fast swing speed.
So it certainly has the potential to increase your carry distance if you are still floating in high handicap territory.
In the following review, we will be telling you about our test experience with the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI to help you decide if it’s the right shaft for you.
Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI Overview
The Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI utilizes carbon fiber to help make it stiff while not making it feel too stout.
When we tested it, we could feel the middle kick point but it was never too jarring. Instead, the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI feels very smooth when you pure the ball.
On mis-hits, you do get jolted a little bit; but we were able to overlook that in light of the surprisingly low spin rates.
For a shaft that feels so active, we were very surprised that our average spin rates were in the 2100 RPM range.
Carry distance was excellent thanks to the low spin rates and the active performance of this shaft.
As far as the way it looks, we’re not too keen on the busy graphics that adorn the grip section.
However, when you put the driver behind the ball, all you can really see is the flat black that is used on the lower shaft section. So there’s nothing to draw your attention away from your swing.
Why is the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI So Popular?
Mainly because the Aldila Rogue Black and Silver versions were such a success.
The Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI is more for your everyday golfer which means that the Rogue series is more accessible to us mortals.
How Does the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI Perform?
The most important thing to note about the performance of the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI is that it has a smooth, middle kick point.
It doesn’t feel overly stout so you don’t have to work very hard to get that active performance out of it.
So at the end of the day, the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI performs a lot like the Silver and Black versions; but it doesn’t feel as stout.
The Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI won’t make you work as hard to increase your smash factor and club head speed because of the active performance.
You should also know that the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI is a counter weighted shaft. That means more weight has been placed in the butt section.
Aldila (and other manufacturers) elect for counter weighting so that you can still get good control if you’re using a particularly heavy driver head.
When you load up on the Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI, you are helped with a smooth release regardless of a deliberate tempo.
That’s one thing we really liked about this shaft: you really don’t have to swing outside of yourself to unlock its optimal performance.
