Ping G410 Vs Taylormade Sim Irons Comparison And Review

The Ping G410’s are incredibly popular game improvement irons from 2019 while the Sim Max irons are designed more like a sports for distance and forgiveness.

Ping G410 Irons Overview

The Ping G410’s built on the success of the G400’s with some important improvements.

For one, they look a lot better and they are also more workable to attract the slightly better players.

They being said, these are definitely game improvement irons with deep undercuts, forgiving lofts and variable face thickness for accuracy on off center strikes.

Two tungsten weights also help you to get the ball in the air, easily.

These irons are incredibly consistent.

Taylormade Sim Irons Overview

Taylormade have built on the resounding success of the M Series of irons to produce clubs that are loved by high and mid handicappers alike.

The speed bridge promotes stability in the clubs and the wide sole with deep undercut provides an easy launching set of irons.

The speed pocket, ultra thin face and inverted cone technology ensure that the ball flies when it touches the face and it’s going to hard to find iron that hit further than the Sim’s

If you are looking for more forgiveness in your irons, the Sim Max Os are also a great choice.

Overall, it’s very hard to beat the Sim Max Irons in my opinion. They are even a bit cheaper now that the Sim 2 Irons are out. Certain people will still favor the G410’s and they are also an excellent set of clubs.

Ping G410 – First Impressions

The first thing you are going to notice about the G410 irons is that they are much more attractive looking than the G410’s

The tingsten weighting in the club head and hosel have lowered the COG of the irons and survived to the G425’s as well.

The clubs are less offset and slight smaller headed than the G410’s and the undercut top line offers good turf interaction to turn the heads of the better players.

The clubs also introduced variable face thickness and a flexible hinge for forgiveness on off center hits.

The clubs offer forgiveness, distance and consistency to high and mid handicap players.

An ode to these clubs is that the G425’s are not that much better at all.

Taylormade Sim Max – First Impressions

The first thing to notice about these Irons is the striking looks. The clubs have a cavity back design with more thickness towards the bottom of the design for more ball speed.

In the clubs we have a low Center of Gravity, a wide sole for a bigger sweet spot, forgiveness and echo camping technology for a nice sound even on Mishits.

The Speed Bridge, Speed Pocket and and ultra thin face all account for club head transferring into balls speed for maximum distance, accuracy and tons of forgiveness.

The Sim Max Irons have recently been upgraded to the Sim2 family for 2021.
